Star Wars: Solo

I’m a big fan of Solo. Maybe it’s because Han is one of my favorite characters and I’m just biased. But apparently, other people don’t see it the same way that I do. It had everything that I was looking for in a Star Wars movie. Laser blasts, chase scenes, and crackin’ wise. If that isn’t a good time, then what is? Sex, drugs, and rock and roll, maybe. But these are PG-13 movies. Let’s take it easy. And the thought of an activist droid is not only funny, but a little ironic, seeing as, aren’t there already droids that are independent? IG-88 is a bounty hunter droid that doesn’t work for anybody. He just, is… So, it’s possible. However scary that thought may be for humanity…

What’s good? I’ve heard people say they don’t like Solo. I can’t understand why. I thought Solo was really well done. I think the action scenes are well paced. The dialogue is funny. There’s a surprise here and there. I don’t know what everybody’s problem is with this movie. This is one of my more well-liked Star Wars movies.

What’s bad? I don’t specifically see anything wrong with this movie. Like I said, It’s one of my more well-liked Star Wars films and I don’t think there’s that much of a problem with it.

The acting? I think the acting all around is pretty good. Alden Ehrenreich, the guy who plays Han Solo, is very charismatic and energetic. The perfect kind of actor for Han. Harrison Ford would be proud.

Alden Ehrenreich. He did a good job with this character. He was cocky and smart and knew when to be afraid and run away, too. It was a really good interpretation of what Han Solo would’ve been like when he was just learning the ropes of smuggling.

Woody Harrelson. Woody Harrelson plays a great outlaw with Tobias Becket. He’s just kind of got that demeanor. Like he had in Zombieland. It just kind of makes him right for a role like that.

So, overall, Solo is one of the better movies in my opinion. Maybe not in the opinion of everybody else. But what do they know? Move on to the next movie in the marathon. And as always, May the Force Be With You…
